Transdev is actively seeking utility workers to support their paratransit service. Utility workers perform basic shop duties including detailed cleaning, sanitizing, fueling and recordkeeping.

What We Offer: $16.26 hourly rateComprehensive benefits401(K) retirement planPaid time offPaid holidaysAbility to advance your careerTo view Transdev's Purpose and how we make a difference follow this link: https://youtu.be/ilO5cv0G4mQResponsibilities:Moving and positioning a variety of equipment.Maintaining internal and external cleanliness of fleet vehicles.Basic housekeeping in the shop, facility and grounds.Checking vehicle fluid levels and adjusting as needed.Refueling fleet vehicles.Other duties as required.Qualifications:Must be at least 21 years old (for insurance purposes ONLY).Must have a valid Drivers License for the state of MI and clean driving record.Must have possessed a driver's license for greater than 5 years.Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.Knowledge of shop safety standards.Must be able to work flexible hours and/or shifts.Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.Ability to understand and abide by Material Safety Data Sheets.Ability to mix and use a variety of cleaning products as trained.Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment including buffers, scrubbing machines, vacuums, and other heavy equipment. 1 year or more of janitorial or auto-detailing experience preferred.Physical Requirements:10% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.90% of work is accomplished in an open garage facility.Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand-wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping. Must be able to lift or handle up to 50-100 pounds.While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions.Will be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
