Utilization Management Technician

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking for qualified Administrative Assistants to be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties to help improve efficiencies at an organization. The Administrative Assistants will be the initial contact person for patients when they enter the medical office.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent form two year college or technical school or six months to one year related Administrative Assistant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
+ Three years in a health Care setting or one year in Utilization Management or Case Management at a Medical Group, Acute Care Environment or health plan experience required.
+ Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Utilization Management applications (e.g. EPIC or 3M) required.
+ Case Management Assistant experience preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software required.
+ Knowledge of payor portals access and use, and insurances (Medicare, Medi-Cal, Commercial) required.
+ Ability to create and present PowerPoint presentations to large groups required.
+ Excellent organizational and multitasking skills required.
+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written required.
+ Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
+ Able to receive feedback from leadership required.
+ Ability to pay attention to details required.
