Job Description Job Purpose We are looking for a talented and motivated User Experience Designer to join our growing team to create compelling, meaningful experiences that enable our users to achieve their goals. The primary area of focus will support our enterprise UI design system. Core responsibilities include interaction design, prototyping, maintaining component libraries in Figma and Sketch, applying ethnographic and usability data, analyzing both stated and emerging requirements, communicating your design decisions to various stakeholders, and working in a professional manner within a cross-functional team to achieve project goals. To learn more about our team, check out the ICE Design Blog . Responsibilities Produce compelling, engaging, user experiences that allow users to accomplish their tasks easily and efficiently. Work with product management to understand requirements, and turn them into buildable user experiences, components or styles. Active participant within the design team, and encouraging productive dialog Participate and collaborate in concept development and design ideation for new product features. Employ HTML standards to UX patterns and conventions in designed experiences. Produce design deliverables including user flows, sketches at various levels of fidelity, wireframes, clickable prototypes, and other similar tools to demonstrate and to aid the validation of proposed design solutions. Document the results of design related meetings and document design deliverables Assist in the maintenance the component library , including functional specifications for interactions, visual styling, accessibility and usage Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, industrial design, visual design, HCI, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in the field and a very strong portfolio will be considered in place of a degree. Solid skills in interaction design and an understanding of overall user experience principles. 3-5+ years of professional design experience, including user experience design of web applications. Must possess solid working experience with appropriate design tools such as Figma, MIRO, Sketch. Strong online portfolio that demonstrates a high-level of proficiency web app design for business applications of a similar complexity to the FinTech Enterprise Software domain. Experience working closely with a product and technology organization working with them to understand product requirements and turning the requirements into buildable user experiences. Must possess good writing, presentation, and time management skills. Experience with appropriate software such as MS PowerPoint, Word, and OneDrive. Prototyping skills across a range of screen sizes (desktop, mobile, tablet) Experience with maintaining and creating components in Figma component libraries Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance Preferred Prior experience or background in the FinTech Enterprise space is a plus Possess an understanding of what is reasonably possible with current practices of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Able to be diplomatic when working with internal stakeholders, partners and other end-customers Capable of grasping project scope and taking initiative to define, document and lead work. Proficient in producing clear and precise documentation Able to begin leading internal and external design review meetings to clarify business goals, product requirements and work plan. Demonstrates a solid understanding of the roles in the software engineering process and has experience working directly with these various roles Mobile experience is a strong plus.
