The Role
This role collaborates within cross-functional teams to deliver industry-leading user experiences across a suite of products. This role will communicate and present to key stakeholders regarding user needs and design solutions with a passion for understanding user needs and building solutions to support them.
Job Duties
+ Creates user journey, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mock-ups, and prototypes
+ Conduct independent research to collect and analyze user behavior through usability studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, and benchmark studies
+ Communicate research findings to cross-functional teams through design solutions, written reports, and/or in-person presentations
+ Develop strong domain expertise
+ Work with senior design peers to execute user studies to validate design concepts
+ Proactively address self-identified skill gaps as well as those identified by peers
+ Build consensus by presenting design work and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
+ Actively participate in improving cross-functional and Design team collaboration
+ Performs all other related duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements Skills and Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, or similar, or equivalent experience
+ 2-5 years of experience as a user experience designer, UX researcher, or similar role
+ Portfolio that demonstrates experience with highly transactional/complex workflow design
+ Has a strong understanding and engagement in the design process
+ 2+ years of experience in iterative design working closely with customers, peers, developers, and product managers from inception through implementation
+ Excellent knowledge of usability principles and techniques (information architecture systems, usability heuristics, research and requirement gathering, etc.)
+ Strong understanding of when to use different research methods during the product development process
+ Ability to clearly communicate design problems and workflow solutions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
+ Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently
+ Proven ability to develop domain expertise
+ Desire to learn and educate others
