The Team
Join our UX Team in the English Language Learning department, led by Benny Zuffolini. We’re a medium-sized team that includes UX Design, UX Writing, Service Design, and UX Research.
The Role
We’re seeking a Product Designer with a strong UX and visual design background to champion strategic UX thinking and launch new features for private and professional learners.
You'll collaborate closely with content, product, and engineering teams to improve the current experience and define the future vision.

Product Designers at Pearson are embedded within product teams that are deeply collaborative, with each member directly responsible for the team’s success. You’ll also benefit from the support of a UX Manager and your cross-specialized peers from the UX team.
Responsibilities
Own your design from beginning to end, throughout the entire product lifecycle at Pearson. Design comprehensive flows and experiences that transform complex tasks into intuitive interfaces, working closely with your cross-functional team. Develop complex components, prototypes, and whatever else is needed to bring great ideas to life, while championing user-centered design throughout the team. Conduct user research for your product area alongside your product manager, showing deep empathy for customers when making product or feature trade-offs. Gather feedback from the team and conduct usability tests with customers to validate and refine design solutions. Collaborate with your product manager to prioritize features and shape the overall strategy. Contribute to Pearson’s design system, ensuring a consistent, accessible product that supports rapid innovation at scale. Encourage team collaboration and foster a positive work environment by leading design workshops, discussions, and offering constructive design feedback.Qualifications
Formal training in UI/UX Design, Product Design, or a related discipline. 2+ years of experience designing and launching high-quality digital products in either a start-up/scale-up or corporate environment, with a focus on SaaS/B2B or D2C solutions. Strong portfolio demonstrating your design work, including web and mobile app design, showcasing your end-to-end process from ideation to final delivery, with a strong eye for visual design and aesthetics.Skills & Expertise
Expertise in industry-standard design tools, especially Figma. Strong skills in visual design, including typography, color theory, spacing, iconography, and layout. In-depth knowledge of web standards and best practices: HTML/CSS, accessibility, and responsive design. Proficient in interaction design, including prototyping, transitions, animations, and easing. Proven experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, adapt to changes, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent English written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills in a remote-first setting, with the ability to confidently present and justify design decisions. Ability to make data-driven decisions using both qualitative and quantitative insights, test hypotheses, and iterate—even with incomplete or imperfect information. Experience considering technical constraints in the design process. Hands-on experience conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing. Proven track record in contributing to and maintaining design systems.
