Overview: UX Researchers at BLN24 are responsible for helping our clients empathize and learn about their users to provide truly impactful solutions. Following Human-Centered Design principes, researchers help discover the foundational insights necessary to solve the toughest problems our clients face. Researchers help serve as the voice of the user, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative data to bring to tell stories about their experiences with different products or services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Plan, design and carry out research activities with users that provide our clients a deep understanding of the people that use their services and captures real stories to help build empathy.
+ Turn research data into clear findings that inform decisions on potential solutions, involving clients and partners in analysis and synthesis to increase consensus and challenge assumptions.
+ Activities may include, but not limited to: interviews, listening sessions, focus groups, and/or surveys, as appropriate.
+ Experience conducting usability testing, including developing a research plan, handling recruitment, then conducting sessions and drafting research report.
+ Background in both qualitative and quantitative research preferred.
+ Experience working in a product team environment that includes close collaboration with stakeholders, product, engineering, and design teams.
+ Directly interfacing with team members and clients to understand their needs, manage their expectations, and communicate the most pertinent results to them in a way that is useful and easy to understand.
+ Communicating with individuals at various government agencies and policy offices to understand their informational needs and gain access to data sources.
+ A minimum of four years of experience (post-degree) in a researcher role
+ Professional experience working with diverse data sources, including survey, personnel, and administrative data.
+ Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
+ Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member.
+ Demonstration of excellent verbal and written communications skills.
+ Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
+ US Citizenship is required as this position will be on a Federal Government project.
