**Job Description**
**This role is hybrid remote with 60% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (3 days in office per week)**
Dremel is looking for an experienced UX/User Researcher to join our Product Development team, supporting our commitment to becoming a user-centered brand. In this role, you will lead the design, execution, and synthesis of user research that drives innovation in product and brand marketing. You will work cross-functionally, coordinating with external research partners, product teams and UX coaches to deliver actionable insights that guide the creation of user-centered solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to impact product strategy and champion a user-centered design approach within Dremel.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Design, plan, and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research using diverse methodologies, such as field studies, lab testing, remote testing, and surveys.
+ Coordinate with market research agencies, overseeing partnerships to ensure timely, high-quality insights into user needs and market trends.
+ Oversee syndicated research subscriptions to ensure continuous access to critical insights that inform product and brand strategy.
+ Develop and implement rigorous, unbiased research methodologies for user interviews, applying user-centered design and Design Thinking principles.
+ Identify and deploy digital platforms and tool kits to streamline research processes, maximizing efficiency in data synthesis and insight generation.
+ Work closely with product, UX and design teams to integrate research findings into product strategies, design solutions, and technical requirements.
+ Partner with UX coaches to consolidate user research and trend analysis into actionable insights, driving product development, innovation, and customer-focused solutions.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a research-related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or related disciplines).
+ Minimum of **3 years** of hands-on experience conducting UX research using both **qualitative** (e.g., interviews, usability testing, ethnographic studies) and **quantitative** (e.g., surveys, data analysis) methods.
+ Proven ability to work across the product development lifecycle, from **discovery research** to evaluative testing.
+ Experience in analyzing and synthesizing **large datasets** and diverse feedback sources into actionable insights.
+ Familiarity with market research techniques, including **trend analysis** and identifying shifts, user gaps, and opportunities.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $115,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
