Purpose
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Value Analysis Consultant is responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the Value Analysis process within a framework of quality and safety focusing on appropriate utilization of supplies and services. Works with key stakeholders to identify and direct supply related requests for cardio-vascular, surgical services and all other clinical areas to achieve safe patient care while improving product quality and cost of goods. Collaborates with Ministry stakeholders as well as local and system leadership to develop effective cost reduction strategic and implementation plans.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years’ experience in a health care related role with experience directly related tosupply chain, value analysis, clinical supply expense management, or sourcing.
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of clinical products, Supply Chain management principles and practices as normally acquired through work experience.Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

Serves as a resource for leading initiatives that balance optimal clinical outcomes with appropriate product utilization and supply stewardship within assigned Ministry or Region. Develops collaborative Ministry Value Analysis programs aligned with the system Value Analysis organization that will foster accountability and enhance optimal supply spend in all Med/Surg product categories. Lead activities that increase contract compliance while reducing stock keeping units (SKU's), using a clinically driven standardization process within assigned Ministry and/or Region.Supply Status: Researches and identifies functional product equivalents and/or other conservation methods for supply chain disruptions.Value analysis: Provide support and/or oversight to stakeholder and service line teams to develop spendmanagement strategies in new product and technology reviews, utilization management and reduction of waste.
