Valet Attendant
Under general supervision, provide valet services to patients and visitors of Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) to ensure exceptional service in an attentive, friendly, and effective manner. Responsible for the intake, parking, and retrieving vehicles in safe and well-organized manner. Assist patients and visitors upon arrival and departure of the GBMC.

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Experience

One year working experience and one year of driving experience

Skills

Professional character with all patients, visitors, and staffMust be able to perform basic math and understanding of rates applicable to servicesAbility to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions

Licensures, Certifications

Valid Driver’s license which must be maintained throughout employmentCPR Certification within 90 days of employment that must be maintained throughout employment

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods standing, sitting, and walkingOccasionally lift or carry up to 20 pounds

Working Conditions

Ability to work in the elements of heat, cold, rain, and snow.

Conditions of Employment

As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of all required licensures, competencies, and certifications

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

·Acknowledge, greet, and welcome patients/visitors

·Assists patients/visitors with valet needs

·Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner

Clarifies parking rates and valet procedures to patients and visitorsDaily collection and categorization of process parking ticket transactionsMaintains safe and clean work environment by following standards and proceduresReport any accidents to manager on duty
