Valet Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

The Valet Supervisor provides our Valet & Parking Operations with the necessary leadership to ensure our staff is excited and motivated to provide a memorable and legendary experience for all our guests. This position is responsible for setting the tone and creating a work environment that provides fast, friendly, and world-class hospitality to all our guests and team members. The Valet Supervisor position is a critical role in helping the property achieve its service and financial goals.

 KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Greets everyone at all times.  Smiles, makes eye contact and verbally greets guests and coworkers from arrival to the property through departure. Responsible for supporting the Valet manager in all departmental initiatives related to the casino grand opening including hiring, training, and process/procedure development.Responsibilities include valet car parking/retrieval, garage and parking oversight, cashiering, coat checking and shuttle services.Owns the Valet area arrival experience including cleanliness, customer facing signage and directionals, audio/visual components, and ensures the highest level of welcoming and promptness from staff.Assists in the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the Valet department.Implements departmental procedures and policies to ensure efficient, safe and secure operations; ensures departmental procedures are enforced and effective in assuring proper protection of operations from loss due to mistake or theft.Investigates, follows-up and reports incidents and damage claims. Takes corrective actions as appropriate.Ensures all guests problems are handled quickly to ensure guest satisfaction within the established guidelines.Reviews scheduling and staffing levels to ensure adequate levels to accommodate guest volumes.Maintains and review tracking and logging processes to measure and monitor productivity and capacity.Engages in and drives all aspects of leading employees, including hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, counseling, recognition, team building and development team members. Drives a sense of urgency within team; ensures attendants run/jog to and from cars.Sets high personal standards for performance and encourages others to do the same.Implements initiatives to improve the employee experience and employee opinion ratings.Endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of the Company in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Service Profit Chain.Consistently demonstrate legendary leadership, influence, drive, innovation and commercial awareness.Any and all other job duties as assignedAny and all other job duties as assigned.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Must be at least 21 years of age.High school Diploma or Equivalent2+ years in customer service industry with a clear passion for service.Prior valet or hospitality supervisor experience a plus

 QUALIFICATIONS:

1 year in Valet leadership preferred.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Computer literacy.Ability to handle complex and emotional issues.Act as a role model to other employees and always leads by example.Adhere to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.Must project professionalism and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Professional appearance.Must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify for/obtain all necessary company licensing and insurance coverage.Must be a team player

 WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works outside and in all weather conditions including wind, rain, cold, snow, heat, etc.Must be able to work independently.Must be able to stand or walk for long periods (8 hours) and run/jog in small increments.Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions, when handling employee or guest conflicts.Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Responds to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary Range: $45k - $55k (Bi-weekly Pay Dates)PTO, 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability
