Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with a variety of equipment and instruments, performing calibrations, and writing and executing documentation. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and qualification of instrumentation, hardware, and software, providing feedback and guidance using your professional and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain analytical instrumentation by completing preventive maintenance schedules, conducting tests, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories.Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and instrument repairs and failures.Assemble component parts, sub-assemblies, or completed units, including electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and structural assembly for products and instruments.Work with external vendors to schedule preventative maintenance and in-depth repairs.Provide diagnosis, maintenance, preventative maintenance, qualification, troubleshooting, and repairs of instrumentation/equipment.Calibrate and qualify instruments and equipment.Recommend and implement improvements to instrument/equipment/system.Source and order supplies and parts to ensure inventory of consumables and repair parts for instruments as needed.Ensure the accuracy of equipment, actions, procedures, and operational databases through audits, queries, and operational reviews.Resolve discrepancies or escalate issues to ensure quality assurance in equipment.Provide standard research, feedback, and decisions to resolve customer/management and employee questions and requirements.Skills & Qualifications:A BS or BA in a life science degree.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Experience in calibration/validation of equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ).Software/hardware experience, particularly with custom-built bioreactors.Proficiency with tools such as micrometers, calipers, and hand tools.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00
