Johnson Service Group (JSG) are currently looking for Validation P&ID Specialists. This is a long-term one to three year contracting opportunity with a world leading pharmaceutical company located in Albany, NY.

Project Description
This is an on-site role to support Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, to support their ongoing Continuous P&ID Field Verification that are conducted, per a schedule, to assess their equipment/system drawings for the following attributes: Instrument tag numbers. Valve tag numbers. Hose tag numbers. Pipeline labelling e.g., utility service, process, clean-in-place (CIP), nutrient addition etc. Nominal line sizes Major Equipment P&ID tag numbers Relative location of piping elements Relative location of piping & fitting connections Connection types (Tri-Clamp fitting, compression fitting, etc.) Presence of insulation Presence of piping and equipment elements Complete and accurate Major Equipment information blocks Utility supply settings Title and Revision Block information Requirements Physically able to stand for extended periods of time. Able to get gowned and work in a clean room environment. Able to use an electronic tablet to make redline edits to drawings.
Below are a list of people that could target for the position.
Mechanical Engineers with experience in industrial settings, particularly those familiar with P&IDs, utility systems, and equipment layouts in regulated environments like pharmaceuticals or biotech.
Validation Engineers or Process Engineers with backgrounds in equipment and system validation, who are well-versed in compliance, system documentation, and GMP requirements.
Calibration or Instrumentation Technicians who understand equipment calibration, tagging, and maintenance requirements and have experience with technical drawings and field verification.
Quality Assurance/Compliance Specialists who have worked with documentation verification and understand the importance of precise compliance with P&IDs and system specifications.
Facilities Technicians or Maintenance Technicians with pharmaceutical or biotech experience, especially those familiar with systems like clean-in-place (CIP), nutrient addition, and equipment mapping.
Utilities or Operations Technicians familiar with utility systems, equipment labeling, and identification, especially in environments where strict compliance is required.
Each of these backgrounds provides technical familiarity with equipment verification, compliance, and documentation, which are crucial for this role.
