Job Description:
The Validation Specialist role is a laboratory-based position belonging to the India Validation Services Laboratory reporting directly to the Lab Manager.
The Validation Specialist is responsible for:
Managing general lab activities as described in the additional responsibilities section.Keeping lab equipment, storage areas and workspace clean and tidy.Generating complete documentation and accurate data according to Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles.Reporting all aberrant, unexpected data or deviation to the Lab Process Coordinator and/or Lab Manager as soon as possible to ensure efficient trouble shooting with QA oversight. Participate to QA investigations and CAPAs when applicable.Contributing to the culture of Safety and Quality by ensuring that all laboratory operations are performed according to the Safety and Quality procedures in place.Leading or participating to local continuous improvement projects.Remaining current with the learning plan, all training modules and maintaining accurate documentation of all records.Report all accidents, unsafe conditions, incidents or near misses to the EHS the Lab Manager.Participating to update and periodic review of operational SOPs.Supporting the microbial test leader (plate counting, low BP preparation, …)Executing viability and recovery studies under the guidance of the bacterial retention test leader.Supporting the physical test leader by conducting pre-test integrity with standard fluid on membranes and cartridges.Managing customer product samples according to the current process and approved SOPs. Handling and eliminating the samples in accordance with all safety rules (PPE, MSDS and EHS recommendations to be considered before to handle the products).Reconstituting freeze dried B.diminuta ATCC strain according to approved SOPs to generate the appropriate number of slants needed to maintain the stock up to date.Preparing B. diminuta culture in SLB as scheduled each week.Managing decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of the lab material.Keeping the sterile material supermarket complete and in order (includes regular inventories).Preparing laboratory media and reagent.Managing media sterility and growth promotion test.Conducting water monitoring control, according to the schedule defined.Conducting environment monitoring control, according to the schedule defined.Responsible for initiating a TrackWise deviation if any non-conformity is detected.Conducting / handling the maintenance and/or calibration for equipment.Ordering and controlling lab consumables.Equipment and Lab cleaning.Managing laboratory waste.
