Validation Technician
**Job Title: Validation Technician** **Job Description** The Validation Technician will assist with the day-to-day operations of the production team by performing routine calibrations of complex laboratory and production equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This mid-level role requires working in a production validation environment to set up, validate, and modify portable X-ray based instruments, which are used across various industries to detect and report the composition of periodic table-based elements in different materials. The candidate will be trained to handle high technology instruments and data acquisition systems combined with standard industry software. Note: This role is not related to tool or measuring tool calibration. **Responsibilities** + Work under general guidance to validate and test X-ray instruments manually and on robotic systems. + Connect instruments to network-based data systems to modify instrument parameters. + Troubleshoot and resolve failing instruments to achieve passing status. + Generate specifications and documentation for instrument checkpoints. + Process validation for multiple instruments simultaneously, demonstrating multitasking ability. + Indicate errors on work instructions and suggest improvements. + Prepare and handle test samples properly. + Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. + Participate in daily team stand-up meetings, communicating challenges and ideas. + Participate in improvement events such as Kaizen, 6S, and Practical Process Improvement. + Maintain a safe working environment and follow established 6S procedures. + Train other technicians. + Assist in the development and execution of equipment calibration activities. + Develop equipment calibration procedures, work instructions, and templates. **Essential Skills** + Experience with computer hardware and testing validation. + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. + Proficiency in testing and assembly processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to work with standard industry software and data acquisition systems. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable and financially stable company with a great culture and a subsidized cafeteria. The candidate will be expected to adhere to established safety protocols and procedures, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. The work involves handling high technology instruments and participating in team meetings and improvement events. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Tewksbury, Massachusetts. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
