System One has an immediate need for a Validation Technician in Christiansburg, VA. This is a contract to hire opportunity with an onsite work model.
Position Overview:
The Validation Technician I is responsible for executing validation procedures, gathering computer information, performing patching tasks, and providing quality documentation for reports. The role involves applying commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. The technician works under direct supervision, following pre-established guidelines and instructions. Independent judgment is not typically required.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret detailed technical information in release notes related to patch and update versioning. Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a timely manner. Analyze and report on project data. Execute various validation cycle tasks, including backup and restoration, testing, and inspecting shipments. Assist with lab maintenance, technical support, and engineering tasks as needed. Support aspects of Patch Binary Acquisition (PBA), including analyzing credentials, packaging deliverables, and documenting exceptions. Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by adhering to safety and health rules. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. 0–2 years of related experience. Experience with Windows and Linux applications is preferred. Network+ or Security+ certifications are a plus. Skills and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail.
