As a Valuation Senior Associate, you’ll assist clients by applying traditional and cutting-edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of analyses – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. While also utilizing discounted cash flow models, trading and acquisition multiples, use of derivatives, binomial, and Monte Carlo simulation models to value businesses, assets, liabilities, and financial instruments such as equity, debt, and derivatives.

Your day-to-day may include:
Plan, organize, conduct, manage, and oversee projects and services in business valuation analysis, industry research, and related investigative services Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on business valuation and related services and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews Perform objective business and asset valuations for tangible and intangible assets, including equity valuations, option analyses, and purchase price allocations Work closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development processes Other duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline required Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross industry clients at a national level with experience in business valuation required Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge; proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS preferred CPA, CFE, CMA, CFA, or CIA and/or valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV, or ASA preferred Experience in broad-based business and financial valuations, multi-discipline appraisals, and fairness opinions, especially those of closely held companies Strong knowledge of ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 718, and ASC 820 preferred 409A valuation experience preferred Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software Can travel as neededThe base salary range for this position in New York, NY only is between $103,700 to $155,500.
