Joining our Valuations team within the Deals Transaction Services practice allows you to help organizations maximize the potential of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Using data-driven insights, we provide independent valuations to unlock deal value, ensure financial transparency, and help clients assess the worth of businesses they plan to buy or sell.
Responsibilities
As a Valuations Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive Advisory and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the team in performing robust business enterprise and equity valuations using the Income Approach, Market Approach and Net Assets Approach methods incorporating sector, deal and/or investment considerations
Interpreting results from various valuation methods applied and concluding on an appropriate valuation estimate
Delivering high quality work products and presenting valuation findings
Working with colleagues across all lines of services to deliver valuations involving other project teams
Assisting with the development of proposals to win new projects
Supporting in risk and quality activities and administrative requirements
Keeping up to date with valuation technical/market developments and contributing to thought leadership, technical forums and other practice development initiatives
Complying with all risk and quality and administrative requirements
Guiding junior team members and reviewing their work outputs
Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience within Valuations from a professional services background or Investment Banking & Private Equity
Hands on experience with creating and reviewing financial models and valuations
Comprehensive understanding of how to review business plans
Exposure to asset and net worth, discounted cash flow
Understanding of transaction services related domain or a multinational organization
Keen to analyze a complex problem and solve using data-driven insights, accounting and finance knowledge
Motivated to build excellent working relationships and meet deadlines successfully in a fast paced & dynamic environment
Confident communicator and can deliver messages both written and verbal with impact to a wide variety of audiences
Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand key business drivers
Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
Flexibility to travel up to 20%, with consideration given to balancing business needs and personal preferences.
