Position Summary

The VAS/Rework Operations Team Lead will act as the first level of support for Quality functions of the Rework/Kitting Department. This role will be responsible for working with the VAS/Rework Supervisor to ensure that all kitting, marrying, and rework processes are completed per Teleflex and regulatory requirements and standards. This role will be responsible for handling nonconforming product, including communications with applicable parties and completion of nonconformance reports. This role will also lead label printing and verification processes. It is expected that this role will manage the work instructions associated with the processes, revising and creating new documents, as necessary. As the primary Quality contact within the rework department, it is expected that this individual be an example of good quality behaviours and encourage these qualities across all personnel within the department. 
 

Principal Responsibilities

• Assisting with the assembly, labeling, printing and verification of labeling, training of quality technician, monitoring kitting productions, including providing oversight of the day-to-day activities. 
• Utilize established documentation, tools, quality and production concepts in accordance with established site and safety procedures.
• Managing and handling nonconforming products, including notification to and communication with Business Unit and Supplier Quality representatives, completion of nonconformance report, and performing disposition of products 
• Assist the Kitting Supervisor to meet quality and production goals, foster team building, and assist with time-keeping and disciplinary actions
• Assist with all other duties as assigned
 

Education / Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience within a medical device inspection environment preferred or 2+ year’s equivalent specialized experience with emphasis in Quality. 
• 1-3 years' experience within medical device / FDA regulated industry preferred.
• 1-3 years’ Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.
• Associates degree or higher preferred
• Experience with SAP applications is a plus.

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines for multiple projects. 
•Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude.
• Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
