VALUE ADDED QA TECHNICIAN

**Description**
Monitor the implementation of food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies and correct them. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
+ Monitor SOP’s, SSOP’s, and GMP compliance of associates, perform HACCP procedures to comply with federal regulations
+ Work with USDA and present records to them at the agency’s request
+ Review records to ensure accuracy and be held accountable to their accuracy
+ Aid QA supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations
+ Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product for specifications, and correcting specification deficiencies
+ Work closely with production associates in monitoring product packaging and labeling, and correcting any deficiencies
+ Audit inbound product and fill out reports with findings
+ Print inserts or labels, being held accountable for label information accuracy
+ Assist in other duties as needed
Requirements:
+ Problem solving skills
+ Able to work in an independent environment
+ Experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred
+ Reliable
+ Attention to detail
+ Able to Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends when needed
+ Comfortable working in a cold environment
+ Ability to stand for long periods of time
+ Ability to work first shift 04:30 am - 14:30 and second shift from 14:30 - 00:30, occasionally overtime the last day of the week.
