Role Definition
Designs and implements new process or updates to existing processes to improve end to end value chain performance. Develop a network value-stream model that depicts current state value chain network and may compare to alternate network configurations (future state). Primary responsibility is to drive end to end machine value chain efficiency improvement, will establish agility and flexibility in the value chain towards customer response expectation.

Responsibilities
•    Analyzing the inbound, value add and outbound value chains to identify opportunities for improvement.
•    Developing business cases and capability studies, recommending improvements to stakeholders.
•    Implementing new and enhanced processes and tools and governing changes through collaboration across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment.
•    Identifying process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy.

Business Process Design: Knowledge of business process design; ability to develop appropriate techniques to re-examine key processes and focus on optimizing organizational performance.
 Level Extensive Experience:

•    Leads in the identification of macro and micro improvements to existing processes.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.
 Level Extensive Experience: 
•    Investigates a broad range of problems, determines causes, and finds resolutions.
•    Recommends candidates for root cause analysis in spite of chaotic organizational conditions.
•    Develops corrective action based on RCA results.
•    Uses RCA techniques such as Re-enactment, Comparative Re-enactment, Re-construction.
•    Guides others to recognize repeat situations even when they are distributed over time or happen to different people.
•    Works with a variety of RCA approaches such as safety-based, production-based, process-based, failure-based, and systems-based.
