**Job Description:**
As Value Chain Designer for Large Wheel Loaders, Wheel Dozers and Compactors, you will ensure linkage between product value stream teams and end-to-end value chains, including process planning and execution to achieve customer order to delivery market requirements while improving the business' Operating Profit after Capital Charge (OPACC). You will design and implement new process or updates to existing processes to improve value chain performance. Additionally, you will lead specific value chain projects and engage in Sales & Operations Planning, Capacity Planning, Inventory and Capital Management and Supply Base Management.
**Responsibilities**
• Analyzing the inbound, value add and outbound value chains to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Developing business cases and capability studies, recommending improvements to stakeholders.
• Implementing new and enhanced processes and tools and governing changes through collaboration across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment. Current projects include leading Supplier Rationalization & Governance and establishing a Capital Council, as well as engagement in on-going value chain processes.
• Providing value chain support for process partners including Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Sales & Operations Planning.
• Identifying process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy.
**Top Candidates Will Have:**
• Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, MRP systems
• APICS CSPC National certification
• Understanding of Caterpillar bill of material (BOM) structure
• Experience with MRP and Purchasing systems
• Understanding the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and tools

• Guides others to recognize repeat situations even when they are distributed over time or happen to different people.
• Works with a variety of RCA approaches such as safety-based, production-based, process-based, failure-based, and systems-based.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
