A little about the position:
Job Summary
Spearhead value engineering program in liner and safety cover business unit. Lead cross-functional funnel building workshop and manage project execution. Analyze all aspect of product design, material, and manufacturing process, collaborate with cross-functional team identifying opportunities for cost improvement. Validate the effect of change based on engineering principles and work with stake holders executing the changes in product and on production floor.
Some of What You Will Do:
+ Working with operation leaders in liner and safety cover, planning and leading project funnel building workshop for achieving annual cost reduction goal
+ Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement value improvement strategies
+ Conducting value analysis and value engineering studies in current products and manufacturing processes.
+ Conducting cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes
+ Identifying cost-saving opportunities in product design and production processes
+ Evaluating the functionality of products ensure they meet customer needs while being cost-effective
+ Clarifying or defining product performance specifications and qualification criteria
+ Building robust validation test plan, executing the defined tests and reviewing results with cross-functional teams
+ Developing detailed reports on value engineering findings and presenting them to senior management
+ Recommending changes such as new material, manufacturing technologies & equipment to enhance the value of products or processes
+ Defining project, identifying deliverable, building timeline, and estimating capital expense and cost saving
+ Executing project, tracking and reporting progress on value engineering projects, and counter measuring project timeline or saving cost miss
+ Managing project risks and communicating calculated mitigation actions to senior management
+ Updating drawing, BOM, and SOP; initiating ECO with operation partners
+ Working with plant management teams to execute change at production floors
+ Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
+ Providing training and support to staff on value engineering principles and practices.
+ Performing other duties as needed
+ Up to 25% overnight travel can be expected.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in value engineering or a related role
+ Proficiency in value analysis and value engineering techniques
+ Innovative problem-solving abilities
+ Deep understanding of engineering principles, cost-benefit analysis
+ Proven track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving measures
+ Goal-oriented mind-set, strong commitment to accountability, collaboration and execution.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
+ In-depth knowledge of change validation process
+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
+ Strong hands-on ability
+ Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
+ Professional certification in value engineering or project management preferred but not must
+ Proficient in using relevant software and tools
