Value Stream Leader
Overview Job Description: Overview: As a Value Stream Leader, you will be a key driver in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficiency and maximizing value for our customers. This leadership role involves overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence. **Responsibilities:** Value Stream Management: + Take ownership of the entire manufacturing value stream, overseeing all processes from raw material acquisition to product delivery. + Develop and implement strategies to optimize value stream efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity. Continuous Improvement: + Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing value stream. + Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings. + Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to achieve operational excellence. Cross-Functional Collaboration: + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination within the value stream. + Foster strong communication and collaboration to address challenges and capitalize on improvement opportunities. Performance Monitoring: + Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream and regularly monitor and report on performance metrics. + Implement data-driven decision-making processes to identify areas for improvement. Team Leadership: + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the value stream. + Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and individual growth. + Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Quality Assurance: + Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards. + Implement and maintain quality control procedures within the value stream. Resource Optimization: + Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands. + Collaborate with procurement to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain. Strategic Planning: + Contribute to the development of long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational goals. + Identify opportunities for capacity expansion and improvements in manufacturing technology. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field with 7-9 years of experience. + Proven experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, with a focus on value stream management. + Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence. **Abilities:** + Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time. + Sitting for extended periods of time. + Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. + Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard. + Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. + Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. + Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. + Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. + Identify and understand the speech of another person.
