Assistant to the Valve Clinic Program in all responsibilities by ensuring that communication among patients, families and physicians is up to date in regards to upcoming testing/procedure of valve clinic and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement(TAVR) patients. Entering information into all databases and keeping them up to date. Assists in patient office hours for TAVR patients.
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Completion of a Certificate/Diploma/Degree program in a healthcare related fi led i.e. Medical Assistant, LPN or RN
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Preferred: Current Credential/Certification/Licensure appropriate to education
Experience:
Minimum: Two years of secretarial experience using current software applications. Prior experience in a patient care role (i.e. Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant).
Preferred: Prior cardiology office experience.
Other Requirements:
Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle single dose medications to include prescription and non-prescription medications. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.
