**Starting pay rate $63.88 (non-negotiable)**
**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
The Valve Services team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training, reinforcing standards, reporting, and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions, and utilizing the corrective action program. Position requires ability to work on cross-functional teams on major projects while adhering to the conduct of maintenance and established maintenance standards and practices.
**Will be required to support all sites in their region and may require up to 60% travel.**
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Valve Machinist Technicians will not perform ordinary and customary Mechanical Maintenance work outside of refueling, maintenance or forced outages. Valve Machinist Technicians will only perform ordinary and customary work of mechanical maintenance during refueling, maintenance and forced outages, if all mechanical maintenance employees are on maximum hours. Attachment D will be used during refueling, maintenance or forced outages.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
-High School diploma or equivalent;
-Receive a passing score on the MASS test;
-Receive a passing score on the NGET tests;
-Ability to work back shifts and weekends;
-Ability to gain unescorted nuclear plant access;
-Successfully complete a virtual proficiency weld assessment;
-Have a valid Driver's License;
**AND at least 1 of the following 4 bullets** :
-Associates Degree in a technical field OR
-2 years minimum related mechanical military experience OR
-2 years minimum of equivalent journeyperson experience in a mechanical trade or equivalent OR
-Be a Constellation Senior Mechanic, Nuclear, Senior Mechanic, Mechanic A or Mechanic B
