JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE
The Valve Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment.
Experience with valve maintenance and repair is required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasksCleans and maintains tools and equipmentPrepares rigs for daily useRepairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other equipmentMaintains files and records of work orders and task completionCleans shop area as assignedConducts routine equipment maintenance testsUnderstands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functionsQUALIFICATIONS
Ability to write simple correspondencesAbility to follow written and oral instructionsWilling to learn and helpPrevious water or wastewater treatment experience is desirableWilling to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on callEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and 0-1-year related experiences and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)PHYSICAL DEMANDS
