What will you do?

A day in the life of a Manager, FP&A at Vans looks a little like this.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

First, reporting to the Director of FP&A, you as Finance Manager will support brand FP&A activities related to P&L Planning and Forecasting focusing on Sales & Margin of the Americas Wholesale channel, playing a key role to create alignment around Gross-To-Net, analyzing the main channel and account dynamics and performances as well as supporting the brand to make the right decisions to maximize margin.  The Manager of FP&A will work closely with leadership team to formulate strategic plans and build annual budgets and monthly forecast. This position is responsible for communicating the reasons behind financial performance as well as identifying new opportunities and recommendations to improve business effectiveness and efficiency.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

Manage and handle Financial GTN planning and Forecasting tools and ensure consistency and accuracy of figures submitted in the systems.Keep continuous alignment between financial & commercial GTN to ensure alignment/balance between Sales, Margin, and inventory targets.Deliver forecasting accuracy excellence and pro-actively analyze any critical trends or dynamics within the channels and the main accounts.Ensure a clear governance on T&C together with Planning, giving support on any the new VF projects.Support the Pricing team to enable the right decisions on pricing and margin (i.e., seasonal target setting, different category, and channel expansion impact) and keep full alignment between financial plans and brand strategic vision.Ensure full alignment with Enterprise and Brand stakeholders, highlighting brand performance evolution, potential risks, and opportunities, with the goal to maximize and overachieve financial targets.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA degree preferred with specialization in Finance.Ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in Financial Planning/Controlling departments of Enterprises or Corporations with multichannel and integrated organizations.Well-developed consultative approach - including the ability to lead complex business initiatives and collaboratively partner at all levels.Operate with curiosity with an ability to manage ambiguity and push through business challenges with a focus on continuous development.

Hiring Range:

$93,312.00 USD - $116,640.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
