Hiring Unit:
Athletics and Recreation

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the varsity sport announcer may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of moderate complexity and the sport official performs them using established instructions. Sport Announcers will be responsible to work both conference and exhibition games as well as any tournaments and playoffs.               
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

(i) Sport specific knowledge is required for most positions
(ii) Must be able to work evenings (Wed-Sat) and weekends (Sat-Sun)
(iii) Must be punctual, organized, reliable and have the ability to multitask
(iv) Previous experience is an asset
(vi) Strong computer skills are an asset for some positions (statistics)

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # 4 on a scale of 0-4.

High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE B) $16.00
