Central Line RN Job, 10 Hour Days/Evenings Shift, IV Therapy Team

Community Healthcare System is hiring a Central Line RN for the IV Team to work days and evenings at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The IV Therapy Team is a team of specially trained nurses that visit patients throughout Community Hospital to provide various IV assistance.

Central Line/PICC Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

Has authority, responsibility and accountability for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of PICC lines through the hospital. Functions primarily inserting PICC’s, IV access, and provides for staff development in areas of expertise. Assists in the development, facilitation, coordination and provision of educational needs assessments for both patients and staff house-wide.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Valid State RN license in Indiana Valid PICC credentials (or in process) Valid CPR Competency in the placement of PICC lines or complicated IVs High level Skills in critical thinking and assessment related to vascular access device selection
