General Summary
Provides a wide range of preventive and acute health care services to individuals of all ages. The Physician performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures.

What you can expect at your practice:
+ WellSpan is actively recruiting a skilled and accomplished vascular surgeon to become part of the WellSpan West Vascular Surgery team.
+ This position will have the opportunity to provide insights and strategies that will empower them to build a rewarding and autonomous vascular surgery program in the West Region.
+ This position offers the opportunity to support vascular services at Chambersburg Hospital, which has 274 licensed beds, and Gettysburg Hospital, which has 76 licensed beds. You will perform procedures and surgeries in one of our operating rooms, cath labs, or ambulatory surgery centers in the West Region.
+ This position is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle balance with excellent hours and a reasonable on-call schedule.
+ The lovely West region of Pennsylvania is more than just picturesque-it's conveniently close to a myriad of top spots for day excursions or a full-fledged holiday. Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington DC are all within easy reach. With a slightly longer journey, you could be in New York City or Pittsburgh for a weekend escape!
+ Collaborate with WellSpan York Vascular Team and Hospital for complex cases/patients to help support our community and patient needs

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
+ Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
+ Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
+ Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
+ Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
+ Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Teaching skills.
+ Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
+ Working knowledge of medical terminology.
+ Good phone skills.
+ Excellent Customer Service.
+ Organized, sets priorities, and able to multi-task.
