The individual functions as a delegated agent under the supervision of the physician and completes procedures in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ (MCHS) mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality. **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION** _For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._ **Minimum Required:** One of the Following: + Associate degree or technical diploma in a related health care program. + One year of experience as a vascular, cardiac or general sonographer. **Preferred/Optional:** Associate degree in ultrasonography, registered in cardiac and vascular sonography thru ARDMS or CCI and experience in cardiac and vascular ultrasound. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Required:** Patient care experience. **Preferred/Optional:** One year experience as a vascular sonographer. **CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES** _The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._ **Minimum Required:** + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. + Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification obtained through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI within two years’ of hire. **Preferred/Optional:** + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. + Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification obtained through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI at time of hire.
