ADEQ has need for add'l resources to create new & modify existing VB programs, with additions to existing VB.net programs and conversions of VB6 to VB.net. This also utilizes SQL Server and Crystal Reports. Potential for future full-time employment.

The first project will be enhancements and expansions to a grant tracking system for the Solid Waste Division at ADEQ. Later projects will involve the Department's main permit and facility tracking system.
ADEQ utilizes Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2008, and Crystal Reports 2008.
The ability to read and understand VB6 code and the ability to readily develop VB.net code are necessary. A working knowledge of SQL queries and the use of stored procedures is also necessary. Knowledge of Crystal Reports 2008 is a plus.
Years of Relevant Experience: Less than 2 years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study; degree-completion eminent is also acceptable.
Role Description:
Code enhancement and development programs and/or required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards.
Test enhancement and development programs.
Participate in structured code reviews / walkthroughs.
Execute all required process steps.
Create and provide content for operational documentation to Technical Writers.
Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an application.
Research problems before approaching the Team Lead or Functional Architect for assistance.
Limited functional knowledge.
Follow quality standards.
Support installation of application releases into production as directed.
Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
