Actalent is currently hiring for a VDC Coordinator to support a reputable Electrical Contractor in the Greater Columbus region. As the VDC Coordinator you would have the ability to either work in-office, hybrid, or remote as you will mainly be preparing 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installation. The types of projects you would be working on would predominantly be data centers and other commercial buildings including higher education, healthcare, and industrial.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare 2D layout drawings to be used for BIM modeling or for field installationPrepare field installation and prefabrication drawingsPrepare panel pull sheets with circuitry and wire informationCoordinate and interface with project management staffReview project drawings, specifications and submittalsProvide QA/QC reviews of installation drawings and BIM models to ensure compliance with contract documents and best construction practicesContribute to developing department BIM/Layout standardsAttend project BIM coordination meetings and technical committee meetings

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a field electrician, electrical distribution maintenance technician, or an electrical engineer.Required: You must currently be an Electrician or have electrical construction experience.You have experience with power distribution 120V/480V up to 15kV, including switchgear, panels, generators, UPS, raceways and transformersYou have experience in reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications and equipment submittalsYou have experience in modeling software such as REVIT, Navisworks, or BluebeamYou have experience in healthcare, data centers, industrial, higher education, or other commercial facilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $50.00
