Position Summary: The VDC Designer I will be responsible for placing equipment, conduit, cable tray, and other electrical items into Revit model. Be able to use Commonwealth Revit families in model. Navigate the model using field software such as Navisworks or Revizto. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company. Primary Responsibilities: + Layout electrical equipment for field installation + Coordinate field installation drawings with project foremen + Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit + Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery + All other duties as assigned and required Required Qualifications: + Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam + Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working + Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously + Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels + Basic knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures + Basic PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Education and Experience: + Associates degree in 3D Modeling preferred + Training will be provided Commonwealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
