Job Description
We are seeking a skilled VDC Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for linking Revit files, creating and modifying schedules for drawings, setting up view filters and templates, and accurately laying out conduit racks with proper parameters. The candidate will also model electrical equipment and light fixtures per project specifications, clash model content for electrical equipment, review and markup drawings, and place and code APL points.
ResponsibilitiesLink Revit filesCreate and modify schedules for drawingsSetup view filters and templatesAccurately layout conduit racks with proper parameters, spacing, sizing, and j-box locationsModel electrical equipment and light fixtures per project specifications with correct parametersClash model content for electrical equipment and light fixtures per project specificationsReview and markup drawings done by others and ensure corrections are fixedPlace and code APL points and export the point file from the projectEssential SkillsProficiency in BIM, Revit MEP, Navisworks, Bluebeam, BIM 360, and electrical systemsAdvanced understanding of NEC, BICSI codes5-7 years of field and/or technical experience combined, or 3-4 years of software experienceExperience in 2D and 3D modelingBS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or BIM TechnologyAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Google Suite, Smartsheet, and ExcelElectrical and/or specialty systems field experienceJob-related experience in 2D and 3D modelingWork Environment
The role involves working with advanced BIM technologies and software tools such as Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, Bluebeam, Google Suite, Smartsheet, and Excel. The work environment is collaborative and focused on delivering accurate and efficient project designs. Dress code is professional.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00
