Come join the DMVA team, apply today! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Vector Control Specialist, you will control and suppress insects, rodents, birds, and other vector pests. You will use herbicides to keep grounds free of unwanted, noxious, and invasive vegetation. You will inspect nesting areas, apply pesticides, and use traps to control infestation. This role requires regular removal of sanitary wastes to prevent infestations, c ollecting disease carrying vectors for identification, and maintaining safe storage of equipment and chemicals. In addition, you will use boring equipment, perform snow removal, and follow safety protocols at all times. Interested in learning more?
