Responsibilities Manage testing of Propulsion & Dynamics features relating to state estimation, selectable drive modes, chassis controls, torque vectoring, traction control, and others. Serve as a quality checkpoint for all Propulsion & Dynamics systems testing at all test levels (vehicle, subsystem, ECU hardware-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and others). Ensure all test suites are complete, comprehensive, correct, and optimized. Support systems test development for other Vehicle Controls domains as necessary. Manage regression test failures by highlighting potential bugs to the development team and supporting the test automation team with simulation requirements. Interface with systems engineers to ensure proper traceability between feature requirements and test cases. Audit feature requirements, systems engineering work products, and software components to identify and fill gap areas in test coverage. Support test-driven development of new features by creating and/or reviewing tests that must pass prior to code merge Lead trouble shooting with exceptional sense of quality and in-depth root cause analysis Support test coverage over Functional Safety software requirements in compliance with ISO 26262 standard guidelines.   Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical/mechanical/automotive/controls engineering or equivalent 3+ years of engineering experience with a focus on systems engineering, software testing, and/or automotive engineering  Experience building systems test plans utilizing various levels of test assets for continuous verification & validation of integrated hardware-software products Strong understanding of requirements traceability and test quality Experience with or willingness to learn test scripting with Pytest Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment Passion to create the next best adventure vehicle   Understanding of industry guideline processes applied to safety critical automotive systems (ISO 26262).   Good team player with great communication skills Demonstrated ability to set direction and guide the team towards it Requirement management tool experience (such as DOORS or Jama) Skilled in Python and one or more of: C / C++ / Matlab / Simulink /MBSE Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: 135,000 - 168,000 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
