Summary: Vehicle Field Test Specialist role for a hands-on professional with military vehicle operation and USG test experience, to define and perform testing for military vehicles.
Job Requirements:
3-5 years of experience operating/maintaining military wheeled or tracked vehicles
3-5 years of USG Developmental/Operational test experience or a combination with military experience
Familiarity with Operator and Maintenance level tasks for tracked and wheeled platforms
Ability to interact with customers and engineering teams
Experience in troubleshooting software/hardware vehicle issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (Team Center, Vis Mockup, iads, EMSNG)
Preferred Skills:
Technical competency in writing Field Problem Reports/Universal Incident Reports (UIR)
Experience in Field Diagnostics of faults, performing Root Cause Corrective Analysis/Failure Analysis
Ability to recommend solutions for automotive and weapons systems performance issues
Job Responsibilities:
Perform testing on Abrams, Stryker, MPF Program products including Contractor, DT, and OT
Direct troubleshooting associated with vehicle software/hardware failures using technical documentation
Generate daily progress reports including Engineering Logs and UIRs
Guide/direct mechanics, drivers, USG Test Directors during maintenance activities
Support aggressive test schedules relying on extensive technical judgment relating to the operation of military vehicles
Additional Information:
No degree required; Secret Clearance will be obtained after starting (not required to start)
Must be willing to travel 50% of the time to customer sites (expenses covered by employer)
