Vein Advanced Practitioner

**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team of vein care specialists. The Vein Center is located on the hospital campus in an outpatient building in Prescott Valley, AZ. The
ideal candidate will be committed to patient-centered care, and working collaboratively with our vein and wound care team to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients. Experience in vein and/or wound care is a plus but not necessary;
we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
The Vascular nurse practitioner or physician assistant practices in an outpatient ambulatory setting with an attending surgeon and also works independently. The advanced practice provider will have a high level of autonomy
managing vascular patients with venous disease, edema and lymphedema. The AP will manage a patient panel for venous disease to include varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, edema, lymphedema, venous ablation and
sclerotherapy procedures. The AP will see new patients, follow up, and post procedure visits. Will also provide consultations with ultrasound results and medication management.

**Responsibilities**
● Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with vein needs.
● Develop and implement individualized care plans and medication management in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
● Unless currently trained and experienced to perform vein procedures; vein ablation and sclerotherapy techniques, will train the candidate in venous procedures under the tutelage of the vein physician.
● Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
● Educate patients and their families on vein care, management strategies, and preventive measures.
● Participate in team meetings and contribute to clinic quality initiatives aimed at improving patient care.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record incompliance with clinic and hospital policies and regulations.
● Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
● Uphold a high standard of patient confidentiality and professionalism.
● Work collaboratively with vein team vascular ultrasound technologists, nurses, and other providers.
● Experience with Cerner application or other EMR helpful.
**Qualifications**
● Master’s degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Degree from an accredited program.
● The ideal candidate will have direct experience in a vein center.
● A background in cardiology/interventional cardiology, or other related ambulatory surgical/interventional practice is highly preferred.
● Minimum of two years of clinical experience as an advanced practitioner
● Current Arizona state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

**Pay Range**
$60.09 - $67.00 /hour
