Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for an*_Vendor Account Setup Assistant-Corp_*. The right candidate willperform various clerical level vendor account set up and maintenance functions with supervision from the Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Prepare vendor accounts for payment * Identify vendor by type and scope of work * Follow system controls including IRS reporting guidelines, insurance compliance and vendor eligibility * Review source information for all required documents * Prevent duplication and adhere to standardized naming conventions * Ensure real-time ongoing data integrity * Process high volumes of information * Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company * Assist corporate accounting management with related special projects as directed * Ability to work overtime *Education and/or Experience* * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Six months to one-year related experience and/or training * Basic accounting knowledge required * Work well within a team environment * Strong computer skills * Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills * Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments * Work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment * Highly motivated * Must be detail oriented, have strong analytical skills and be a self-starter * Sound logic and reasoning skills * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications * Proficiency with MS Office and email *Preferred Qualifications* * Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred * AS400, JD Edwards, EMC Documentum (ECM) and/or Lansa experience preferred Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
