VENDOR COMPLIANCE CLERK 2ND SHIFT SEASONAL

Provides a variety of administrative support functions for the Inbound or Outbound Office of the Distribution Center (DC).

Major Activities

This position may perform some of the following examples of duties that may be assigned depending on the office and DC-specific needs:

Completes shipping paperwork and compiles trailer packets.  Performs wave planning and prints labels; folds and sorts labels for future waves and for seasonal Pre-Label events.Schedules and monitors Inbound trailers; assigns trailers to dock doors and checks in trailers.  Creates Receivers’ packets.Processes appointments and closes out trailers when completed.Runs daily status reports and follows up on related issues.Responds to incoming phone calls/inquiries as well as email inquiries on status.  Completes yard checks and daily yard reports. Ensures Wave shorts are worked, and Waves are released in a timely manner.Maintains all appropriate files/documentation in support of the work performed.  Serve as a back-up for other clericals in the department.Other duties as assigned
 

Minimum Education

High School diploma or equivalent; additional related education/training is a plus

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

Proficiency in MS Office applications, and proficiency in WMS system and other systems 

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

Good working knowledge of Michaels’ SOPs and policiesUnderstands the flow of work in the assigned department

Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracyEffective written and verbal interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levelsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Type of Experience the Job Requires

2+ years of related experience in an office role preferred, with a demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and complete assigned tasks accurately
