Essential Job Functions

Investigate and assess the impact and applicability of proposed contract standards and languageCoordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on proposed amendments/agreements, while keeping abreast of the industry to incorporate new language as necessary.Use sound business judgment to review modifications, extensions and other contract documents.Act as vendor contract subject matter expert; initiate system data for vendor setup. Ensure vendor data is in compliance with data integrity standards as well as legal requirements.Ensure all new vendors are on-boarded completely to Petco requirementsDirect and coordinate the activities of Merchants to accomplish assigned objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in business or related field is strongly preferred.  3+ years of experience in a procurement/contract role. Previous retail experience is strongly preferred.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered.  Advanced skills using applications in the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access are preferred. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and an excellent ability to interact with various internal and external contacts at all levels are required.
