Job Description
The Vendor Contract Analyst oversees the entire contract lifecycle management processes within Advanced Auto Parts. The Vendor Contract Analyst is responsible for supporting merchants through the contracting process to ensure compliance with internal policy requirements. This role will work closely with Merchandising, Legal, Risk Management, Business stakeholders, and Third Parties to ensure favorable contracts are executed and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Manages entire contract lifecycle, supporting timely placement of compliant agreements, and managing any changes or amendmentsSupport, develop and maintain functions and processes in Contract Lifecyle Management tool (Ironclad)Maintains accurate database of records and documentation related to contracts, including contract versions, amendments, correspondence and other relevant dataCollaborates with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate on contract terms and conditions that meet the organization’s objectives while mitigating riskPrepare and draft contractual terms and agreement templates based on stakeholder need for Legal approvalAnalyze and communicate issues affecting contracts, including all relevant terms and conditions, amendments, etc. to ensure clarity, accuracy and consistencyGenerate reports relevant to contract management activities, highlighting key risks and areas of improvement to support decision-makingWork with Contract Management leadership on contract compliance best practices and support business stakeholders to assure consistent and functional agreement structures are planned and implemented appropriately.Partners with Contract Management leadership, Merchandising and Legal to make the contract management process more effective and efficientDevelops strong working relationships with colleagues across departments and seniority levelsOther tasks as necessaryKey Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is requiredAt least 3 years of experience as a contract analyst, paralegal, or similar role is preferredCommunicates effectively and has strong written and verbal communication skillsCollaborates with internal and external stakeholders and has strong interpersonal skillsExcels at multi-tasking and has excellent project management, time management, and organization skillsLearns new skills and software quicklyAdvanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills is highly desiredPrior retail experience is strongly preferred#LI-AM1
