Vendor Maintenance Clerk

Job Description Summary: The Vendor Maintenance Clerk is a member of the accounting team who performs vendor and customer maintenance duties and other assigned accounting tasks at the company’s corporate headquarters. The incumbent will be responsible for processing transactions with important vendors and customers under a system of internal controls.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinate receipt of new vendor and customer information Record and maintain vendor information for multiple entities Record and maintain customer information for multiple entities Ensure proper approval and support for all vendor additions or changes Verify sensitive banking information Track outstanding forms and banking confirmation requests Ensure timeliness of entry and updates in line with internal requirements Follow all processing procedures, adhere to internal policies, and maintain confidentiality Respond to vendor-related inquiries Apply experience and skills to resolve non-routine and complex processing discrepancies Discuss and escalate unique issues with manager Quickly resolve vendor issues or concerns Other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

1-3 years accounting experience preferred Professional verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented skills with the ability to note errors and review multiple lines for accuracy Accurate data entry skills Comfortable with high volume processing Ability to handle multiple tasks Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong analytical abilities Demonstrated experience successfully and tactfully handling customer inquiries Excellent Microsoft and Excel software skills Experience in Dynamics, Allegro and/or Agris a plus Valid driver’s license required.
