Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vendor Management Specialist to manage and execute the migration, validation, and maintenance of vendor master data into our new ERP system (JDE). This role is crucial in ensuring accurate vendor information is effectively transferred across systems with high data integrity and minimal disruption to operations.

ResponsibilitiesInteract with vendors to request relevant supplier data for input into the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and review data for completeness and accuracy.Collaborate with technical experts such as Quality Engineers and Sourcing Specialists to document specifications and requirements as part of the initial qualification process.Execute and oversee the transfer of vendor master data from legacy systems to new platforms, ensuring completeness and accuracy.Validate and clean data to meet company standards, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors in vendor records.Develop and apply data mapping rules, aligning fields and formats between source and target systems.Review and standardize data to conform with company policies and regulatory standards, such as vendor names, addresses, and tax details.Work closely with IT, procurement, and finance teams to ensure data requirements align with organizational needs.Document data migration processes and procedures, maintaining records for audit and compliance purposes, and initiate and follow through with Change Orders (COs).Perform quality checks and testing on migrated data, ensuring data integrity throughout the transition process.Identify, track, and resolve data-related issues or inconsistencies promptly, coordinating with relevant teams as needed.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in supplier data management, supply chain, supplier quality, or purchasing.Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in transitioning from Syspro to JDE.Comfortable speaking with suppliers/vendors to obtain missing documentation.Proficiency in Excel for data entry and management.Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical industries.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with FDA/GDP regulations.Technical writing skills.Work Environment

This role is based 100% onsite at a medical device manufacturing facility, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The team consists of two people working on an ERP implementation project, reporting directly to the program manager responsible for procurement and this implementation. The role is initially set to last until May, with potential for extension based on project needs. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring quick learners who can hold themselves accountable and perform repeatable tasks with minimal supervision after initial training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
