In our quest to revolutionize the world’s infrastructure, we are seeking a Ventilation Improvement Portfolio Manager for our SI Building Business Unit Team within our SI Buildings EPS.

Location:  This position will be located in either Zug, Switzerland / USA/ UK or Germany

The Role

The Buildings Sustainability portfolio team is responsible for energy efficiency products and services that are sold and executed by the Smart Infrastructure Buildings business. As part of this team, the Ventilation Improvement Global Portfolio Manager will be responsible for developing diagnostic, optimization and maintenance solutions for ventilation systems. These solutions include but will not be limited to:

Tools and processes to diagnose the performance of existing ventilation systems, including both central air handlers and room level systemsUnderstanding of the various purposes of ventilation systems, including environmental control (temperature and humidity); air quality control; and health and safety (i.e. critical environments)Scope and sequences to improve the operational performance of existing ventilation systems, including control logic that leverages AI and machine learning. Existing solutions in this scope include Siemens Comfort AI and Dynamic VAV Optimization solutionsIncorporating ventilation systems into energy flexibility solutions 

 

Your new responsibilities

Primary responsibility is managing the development of, and providing expert knowledge to, a technology stack that enables the diagnosis, optimization, and monitoring of ventilation systemsServe as a technical support resource for the Sustainability field operations teams in the different countries where Siemens does business. This includes fielding technical questions related to building controls, HVAC systems, and other relevant connected systems; directing engineers to training and support resources; and facilitating the resolution of technical problems related to portfolio offeringsEvaluate new service providers and develop new portfolio offerings within this category based on application of existing algorithms to new use cases; deployment of related technologies from Siemens Building Products; or identification of new algorithms developed by internal or external resourcesMaintain internal Siemens databases related to the global portfolio offerings required for sales enablement such as estimating tools and proposal generation.Coordinate with Business Development partners across the globe to ensure portfolio content is aligned with field team requirements and provide technical support as needed for new business acquisitionCoordinate with internal resources required to develop necessary technical components for delivery of offerings, such as: data flows, data connections, and data visualizations utilizing the Microsoft suite; extensions to Siemens software platforms such as Desigo CC and Building XAssemble a varied set of services into a simple to digest portfolio bundle that can be tailored to address ventilation systems in multiple vertical markets and geographic regions

 

Your talents and experience

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Technology, or other Applied Science strongly preferred, in case of US, CEM or PE preferredMinimum 5 years experience in sector related to building automation, building mechanical systems, or energy efficiency consultingExpert level knowledge related to building mechanical systems and the sequences used to control them, including: central air handling systems; room-level automation controls and packaged cooling systemsExpert level knowledge of ventilation control strategies in critical environments, such as laboratories and other pressurized spacesDemonstrated understanding of energy efficiency and performance improvement strategies related to building HVAC systemsExpert level knowledge in building management systems, particularly Bacnet communication protocol, strongly preferredKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Sharepoint and PowerBI strongly preferredStrong background in energy modelling of buildings and building systemsStrong communication and Project management skills as well as a good eye for detailsStrong team playing capabilities to be applied in an international setupFluent in English
