Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Verification and Testing Engineer to join our team in the train manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of train components and systems through rigorous testing and verification processes. This role requires a thorough understanding of engineering principles, testing methodologies, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing and Verification:Develop, implement, and maintain testing protocols and procedures for train components and systems.Conduct functional, performance, and safety testing on various train systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies during testing activities.Documentation and Reporting:Prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.Document and report test results, including any issues, defects, or deviations from expected outcomes.Maintain accurate and comprehensive testing records for traceability and future reference.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to understand project requirements and testing needs.Provide feedback and recommendations for design improvements based on test results and analysis.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, quality assurance teams, and external auditors.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing and verification activities.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in verification and testing.Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent experience.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in verification and testing, preferably in the train manufacturing industry or a related field.Proven experience with testing tools, equipment, and methodologies.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to train manufacturing.Proficiency in using testing software, data analysis tools, and reporting systems.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Working Conditions:

This position may require working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.Occasional travel may be required to support testing activities at different locations or to attend industry conferences and training sessions.
