Verification and Validation Engineer
Summary
As a Verification and Validation Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that Accuray’s products, systems, and software meets its design specifications by meticulously verifying and validating its functionality throughout the development lifecycle, confirming that it performs as intended and is fit for its intended use, involving the creation and execution of test plans, analyzing results, and identifying any discrepancies to guarantee quality standards are met.
A successful Verification and Validation Engineer will have an excellent ability to solve difficult problems, will be flexible in their approach, will have a strong attention to detail and will hold themselves to a high standard. While not required; A background in both hardware and software testing is a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements analysis:Thoroughly reviewing and understanding user and system requirements documents to develop comprehensive test strategies.Test plan creation:Designing and documenting detailed test plans outlining test cases, environments, and acceptance criteria.Test case development:Writing and executing test cases to cover all aspects of the product functionality. Test execution:Performing testing activities, including functional, performance, regression, usability, and system integration testing.Defect management:Identifying, logging, and tracking defects found during testing.Test environment managementIdentify, configure and maintain hardware and software test environments.Including setup of computers, networking and software installsValidation activities:Confirming that the product meets user needs and intended application within the specified environment.Collaboration with cross-functional teams:Working closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and PTE teams to facilitate a smooth development cycle.Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience.3-5 years of experience in Verification and/or Validation within a technical or engineering environment, or a proven track record of problem-solving and collaborating within high-performance teams.Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex hardware and software issues, utilizing a logical and systematic approach.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments, with a proven ability to quickly learn new systems and toolsPreferred or Desired
Relevant experience in an FDA-regulated medical device environment, with a strong understanding of applicable standards and compliance requirements.Proficiency in test management tools for planning, executing, and tracking validation and verification activities in complex systems.Hands-on experience with computer system hardware setup, network configuration, and software installation, ensuring seamless system integration and functionality.To qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the country they are applying on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
