DEKA Research and Development, located in Manchester, NH, has an immediate opening for a Verification and Validation Test Engineer to work in a dynamic medical device R&D environment. The position will primarily focus on end-to-end software behavior assessments of user interfaces and logging of critical parameters. Test Engineering is a high-visibility role with a significant, direct impact on the success of the project.

How you will make an impact:Developing and writing test procedures assessing end-to-end performance and reliability of user interfaces and hardwareUnderstanding device design and core technologies in order to inform test method developmentDetermining test coverage for revisions to designCreating and evaluating test fixtures if needed for product design verificationContributing to design failure investigations that may impact Risk Assessments, Hazard Analyses, and FMEAsContributing toward regulatory and agency submissionsAuthoring Test Summaries and other documentsTo be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:BS in Physics, Biology, Electrical, Mechanical and/or Biomedical EngineeringExperience with research, development, and product testingExperience writing procedures for others to followExperience with data and failure analysisBroad measurement instrument knowledgeKnowledge and deep understanding of engineering fundamentalsDemonstrated problem solving ability and techniquesAbility to work as part of an interdisciplinary teamSelf-motivated and able to self-prioritizeAbility to clearly explain objectivesMust be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in medical devices, knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations (QSRs) and/or ISO 13485, and other medical device industry experience preferred
