Vertical Marketing Strategist

Description

Citizens is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vertical Marketing Strategist to spearhead marketing efforts for our key verticals: Private Equity and Venture Capital, Innovation Economy, Commercial Real Estate, and other industry verticals. The ideal candidate will develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that drive growth and enhance our brand presence within these segments.

Key Responsibilities:

Vertical Marketing Strategy:

Craft and implement marketing strategies tailored to Private Equity and Venture Capital, Innovation Economy, Commercial Real Estate, and other emerging verticals.Collaborate with vertical banking teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.Develop targeted programs, collateral and messaging for each vertical, including offers, value propositions, sales presentations, website content, whitepapers, and demand generation assets.Maintain brand consistency in messaging and design across various channels.Develop core marketing materials and initiatives that highlight institutional expertise.   

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Partnerships:

Collaborate closely with Marketing & Communications teams, including Creative, Events, Digital, Social, Communications, etc. Work with Marketing teams across Business, Investment and Commercial Banking to align vertical marketing programs with cross-firm goals.

Leadership and Influence:

Demonstrate leadership through influence, motivating teams to achieve outstanding results.Communicate and gain buy-in effectively within a matrixed environment.Exhibit strong empathy and partnership skills, fostering collaboration across departments and with external partners.Cultivate a culture of trust and cooperation, ensuring stakeholder engagement and alignment with marketing initiatives.

Required Responsibilities, Capabilities & Skills:

Proven experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans across multiple channels.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to build trust with senior leaders by delivering strategic marketing solutions.Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Strong ability to think strategically and creatively Private Bank/Private Wealth marketing experience including advertising, direct, digital and public relationsStrong channel experience in digital marketing including search, display, social and contentExperience developing insightful and clear creative, marketing, advertising and/or media briefs, using research, data, personas, and customer journey mapsAbility and desire to work well within a team and test and learnExperience managing indirectly/influencingAbility to review data, interpret results and create actionable and measurable strategies Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering on schedule/budgetExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsA go-getter and a doer who is accountable and has high expectations for their workAttention to detail Minimum 10+ years of marketing experience

Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $150,240-225,360 - per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
